Crayon Melt Trefoil Sun Catcher

A couple of weeks ago Cookie Owl did a really cool craft with the Brownies.
Crayon Melt Sun catchers!
She used a pencil sharpener to shave crayons and had all the different colours separated into baggies.  First step for the girls was to trace a pattern on to two same sized white pieces of cardstock.  Then they cut the pattern out and discarded the cut out center.  Next the girls sprinkled their choice of crayon shavings onto a piece of wax paper then put another same size piece of wax paper on top.  The final step was to iron the layers {cardstock/wax paper/shavings}  to melt the crayons {with Adult supervision of course and using a towel on top of the work}.  These look really cool in the sunlight!
