Dancing Pompom Craft

Helllooooo....I don't know what is up with me lately because I have not been blogging as much but here is a quick post for you.

Over the Christmas break I had been taking photos of my crafts from the past.  I came across this cute little pompom craft that I had created for my Brownies about 8 years ago!  This is a dancing pompom caterpillar /worm {or whatever you want to call it lol}

Take a look!

I've got the moves like Jagger
I've got the mooooves likes Jagger♫

This craft was so simple to make.

You will need:
various sizes and colours of pompoms {7 or so}
feathers
google eyes
string or embroidery floss
needle with a large eye
white glue
2 wooden stir sticks

To make:

Using a needle and string...thread the pompoms on the string starting at the tail end {make a knot on the tail end then later cover the knot with a feather}.  Continue adding however many pompoms you like ending with the nose. {Make sure  the pompoms fit snugly together so that your critter can move like Jagger!}.  Once you get to the nose then go back into the head pompom with the needle/string and make a knot.  Glue on the eyes and feathers to the head.  {to make the feathers super fluffy then just comb them with your fingers several times to loosen the barbs}.Glue the stir sticks to the tail and head.  {When gluing the pompoms spread the fibres then add the glue then the stick...and let it sit for a few minutes so that it can set}.  Then you can make
it move like Jagger !
{I love that song , Moves like Jagger, by Maroon 5}.

Hopefully I will have a World Thinking Day post up soon!  Thank you all for reading my blog...I appreciate your kind comments!  Have a great day!
